Our annual Smelt Fry is back on April 11 starting at 12 PM, and it’s one of those days that feels like Outstate at its best.

All-you-can-eat smelt, served hot and crispy, with the first basket coming with fries and coleslaw to get you started. It goes until you’ve had your fill, so there’s no need to rush.

​

Settle in for the afternoon, grab a beer, and stay into the evening as Anthony Miltich takes the stage at 6 PM, with live music sponsored by Minnesota Public Radio.

It’s a full day built around good food, familiar faces, and not being in a rush to leave.
