5th annual chili cook-off
On Saturday, March 14, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, the taproom fills with the kind of heat that only comes from slow-simmered recipes and friendly competition. Outstate’s 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off brings together local businesses, home cooks, and a room full of hungry judges for one of our favorite traditions of the year.
Three winners will be crowned. Best Business Chili and Best Individual Chili are selected by blind taste from Outstate judges. This year’s Business winner receives a two-hour Riverside Room rental, one month of advertising on Outstate TVs, and a $50 Outstate gift card. Individual and People’s Choice winners each receive a $100 Outstate gift card. Guests cast votes for People’s Choice, with additional voting tickets available for purchase in support of the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation. Winners are announced at 5:30 PM.
Every participant receives their first beer free.
$1 from every beer sold during the event will be donated to the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation, along with free will donations collected throughout the afternoon. When the final votes are counted, live music with Zach Thomas carries the night from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
